Three steps. Nothing leaves your device.
The browser does the work that a server usually does. That is why there is no upload bar, no queue, and no account.
- 01
Choose a tool
Open a tool from the library. Each page explains the format limits, the options, and what the result will look like.
- 02
Add your files
Drag, drop, or paste. The browser reads the file locally. You can process several images or PDFs in one batch.
- 03
Download the result
Check the before and after sizes, then download one file or a ZIP. Closing the tab releases the working data.

Learn moreQuestions people ask first
Are my files uploaded to Toolabs?
No. Images and PDFs are read and processed by your browser. The site has no upload endpoint for user files. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads and processing a small file.
Is Toolabs really free?
Yes. Every tool on the site is free to use without an account. There is no watermark, no trial limit, and no paywall on the current tools. If advertising is added later, it will not change how files are processed.
Do I need to install software?
No. Toolabs runs in a modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone. No extension, desktop app, or signup is required. Older browsers may lack the Web Worker or Canvas features some tools need.
How large can my files be?
The interface accepts files up to 100 MB, but the practical limit depends on your device memory. A large PDF may work on a desktop and struggle on an older phone. A warning appears for unusually large files.
Can I use Toolabs on my phone?
Yes. The tools are responsive and work with the mobile file picker. Image compression and small PDF merges usually work well. For very large PDFs or batches of high-resolution photos, a desktop browser is more reliable.
What happens to my files when I close the tab?
The browser releases the working data when the tab is closed or reloaded. Toolabs does not keep a copy because the file was never sent to a server. Download any result you want to keep before closing the page.
